Friends,
A quick note about something I’ve been quietly building, and a word on why it matters to me.
Most of us were handed the New Testament in English, translated from Greek, and told that was the floor. But Yeshua didn’t think in English. He didn’t think in Greek either. He thought, prayed, argued, taught, and loved in Hebrew, soaked in Torah, in the voice of the prophets, in the rhythms of the Psalms. When you read His words through a Hebrew lens, the text stops being flat. Idioms wake up. Parables click. Hard sayings stop being hard. You start hearing Him as the people standing in front of Him heard Him.
That’s what I mean when I say “Hebraic-first hermeneutic.” It isn’t a clever angle. It’s just refusing to read the Brit Chadashah [New Covenant] as if it fell out of the sky in Athens. It came out of Israel. It speaks Israel.
So I built something.
It’s a tool that lives on sergiodesoto.com. You can drop into any New Testament passage and pull the Hebrew threads underneath it, the words behind the words, the Tanakh echoes the apostles assumed you’d hear. It’s the kind of thing that used to take me an afternoon with three lexicons open. Now it takes a few clicks.
It’s free. Always will be. Go play with it. Bring your favorite passage. Bring the one that’s always bothered you. See what wakes up.

One housekeeping ask.
A few months back I promised more tools, more study aids, more ways to dig into Scripture together. Those are coming, and they’re going to live on sergiodesoto.com, not here on Substack. If you want them in your hands when they drop, the simplest thing is to head over and sign up for the newsletter for the main site:
Or, if it’s easier, just hit reply and tell me “yes, move me over” and I’ll add your email to the list myself. I won’t transfer anyone without permission. Your inbox is yours.
If it serves you and you ever want to drop a coffee in the tip jar to help me keep the lights on, that’d mean a lot. But honestly, the best thing you can do is use it.
And one more thing. If you believe what I’m doing here is helping people see Scripture more clearly, share it. Forward this email. Send a friend the tool. Post the link. I’m not in this for the money. I’m in it for the message. The more eyes on the Word the way it was actually given, the better.
And remember, everything above cost goes directly to helping aged-out foster kids.
I will still do paid subscriber content here. It will still be a value proposition. But I’ve learned that Substack requires extra effort, and it’s harder for people on the outside to see the messages.
Boldly standing with you in the Word,
Sergio
