There is a word Yeshua spoke on a road in Caesarea Philippi that has been mistranslated, misappropriated, and used to build something He never authorized.
That word is ekklēsia (ἐκκλησία).
But ekklēsia is not where this study begins.
Ekklēsia is the Greek surface. Underneath it, older than it, is the Hebrew word it was chosen to translate — and that Hebrew word carries a weight the Greek can only gesture toward.
