Don't be pressured into a certain style of worship such as singing and lifting your hands if that is not your heart. If you feel moved to sit, kneel or stand silently then let that be your praise.

Somehow, I end up feeling you're perhaps coming across as a little unfair towards sincere worshippers (though of course this is not your intention), not so much in what the word 'worship' itself means when seen in perspective of what 'zamar' actuality conveys, but in what I understand worshippers themselves experience in the act of worship.
In my view, worship is prayer in an evolving (live) state of adoration whereby the believer identifies with the words being sung and the scriptures they refer to, and recognises simultaneously both the majesty, power and goodness of HaShem as well as the gap that exists between themselves and our Lord cutting through their sense of existence and leading to a vivid, transformational realisation of what must be shed, pruned in themselves in order to yield the fruit that is acceptable by HaShem in the act of worship and beyond.
Often, shouts of joy and tears of recognition and pain derived from such cuts, from the pruning 'zamar' conveys accompany the act of worship eventhough the word 'worship' itself may not directly or literally convey the original meaning you so rightly and helpfully outline.

I thought I was in pretty good shape when Pat died at the end of 2019. The past six and half years have been a massive pruning session for me—both discipline and discipleship. It brought a whole new level of praise (telling others) and worship (telling God directly). What a joy it's been.

I know someone who runs Nazarite prayer sessions where my wife and I have attended three times with great results.
He often refers to pruning but has not (as yet) linked this to worship (although I prefer to use praise)
